  An educational and unique arts activity for ages 8 and up! 

  Using some basic hand sewing and embroidery stitches students will create their own applique designs! We'll start the class with a few pre-cut pattern options in felt, learning how to stich pieces together and embroider details. Next students will create a pattern of their own design using the techniques they have learned. 

  

  We endeavor to use easy to source materials in our activities so participants can continue practicing even after the class if they so wish.

  This class is $25 per registrant. All materials are included. The class is 2 hours long and instructed by Weavers' and Spinners' guild member Julia.

  A completed permission form must be submitted for each participant at the beginning of the class. If the participant feels comfortable please complete and submit a photo release as well.

  For ages 7 and up, a great arts activity just in time for Valentine's Day! 

  We will learn how to make and print our own cards with readily available materials from around the house! We'll cover concepts central to this type of "relief" printmaking, learn different methods to make our own stamps, and consider our use of colour and positive vs negative space in our designs.      

  We endeavor to use easy to source materials in our activities so participants can continue practicing even after the class if they wish.

  This class is $25 per registrant. All materials are included. The class is 2 hours long .

  For ages 6 and up! A perfect arts activity for March Break! 

  In this workshop we will make a birdhouse out of a hollow gourd. Gourds make great natural homes for small birds and can last for years! Students will choose their gourd shape and them decorate their birdhouse however they please. 

  The class is $25 per registrant, 2 hours in length, and all materials and supplies are included. Due to the messy nature of painting, students may want to bring a smock or old shirt to wear over their clothes. 

  A completed permission form must be submitted for each participant at the beginning of the class. If participant feels comfortable please complete and submit a photo release as well.
