  You may bring your own inkle loom or there are a limited number of looms available for use during the class.

  Learn the basics of rigid heddle weaving in this introductory class! Participants will learn to warp, dress, and weave a sampler on a rigid heddle loom. You may use one of ACP's looms during the class or bring your own.

  You have to be "Warped to Weave" so goes the expression, and it's true- you must gain experience putting on warps so your comfort will level increase.

  This class will help you do that by making and putting on a warp to weave a 10" x 18" cotton hand towel. You will begin to weave in class and then finish the weaving on your own time at ACP. All materials will be provided as well as instructions on how to take your towel off the loom when finished.

  Pre-requisite: Intro to Weaving

  Are you looking for quiet time to de-stress your busy mind, and get back to the simpler things? Join us for tea and learning the basics of Sashiko stitching! Hand sewing is a great way to set some time aside for yourself and find solace in the active meditation of this traditional Japanese embroidery technique. Sashiko is an excellent way to revamp old clothing, towels, bags and anything else in need of a stitchy uplift.

  No experience necessary, all supplies will provided to make a small zippered pouch.

  Class duration: 2 Sessions, for a total of 4 hours instruction time. 

  Session 1:  Sashiko (2 hours)   Session 2: Purse finishing (2 hours)

  Join us in a fun knitting activity and create your own Sampler Stitch Cowl. Adventurous beginners to experienced knitters will love this gorgeous knitted cowl! And made just in time for the cooler weather.

  We'll start off with the basics, including how to:

  Play with a drop spindle, set up a spinning wheel,  wash some wool (if desired) and have some fun colour blending to make your own personal fun art yarn!
