The Peterborough Weavers and Spinners Guild was founded in 1955 by a group of area women wanting to promote learning opportunities and the enjoyment of weaving for themselves and the public. As well as its original focus on handweaving, the PWSG expanded to encompass the related skills of spinning, dyeing, basketry and felting. After joining the ACP in 2013, the guild now holds their meetings (the third Monday of every month) and house their equipment and library at the centre. Formed in 2022, the ACP Woodturners are a group of ACP members who hold a special interest and passion for woodturning. The group consists of beginner to experienced turners, and also includes our woodturning instructors. The group does not hold formal meetings, but members will often assist each other and work on personal projects in our woodshop when classes are not in session. |
