Looking for an interesting new skill? Come and learn about Kumihimo.  Kumihimo means "gathering threads"; it is an ancient form of Japanese braiding using a variety of stringing material to make cords.  You will prepare 8 strings for the Kumihimo disc, and learn how to make a round cord that can be used for necklaces, bracelets, edging for clothing, straps for purses and numerous other uses.

During the class you will complete a bracelet (choose to make a double or single bracelet) and learn how to add a clasp.  You will then cut cords and set up your loom to make a length of kimihimo braid suitable for a necklace which you will complete at home.

Teacher Supplies: 6" Kumihimo disc, colourful rattail cord, end clasp, glue, instructions.
