04AC 20-12 Gourd with Pine Needle and Cat’s Eye Shell
Description
This display piece is made from a hard shell canteen gourd set on its side and held by a shaped gourd pedestal base.
The exterior is dyed sea green and the inside is painted a natural cream colour. One side of the gourd is decorated with pyrography ivy leaves and then dyed claret and yellow.
The other side feature a Cat’s Eye shell surround by pine needle coil and claret glass beads.
The rim of the gourd is decorated with brown Longpole pine needles. The coiling is made with forest green waxed linen. This is an original piece created by Anne Carling.
Size is 19 cm. h x 18 cm w x 16 cm. d (7.5”h x 7”w x 6.5”d)
