Gourd piece 3 ¾”w x 4 ¾”h
The image of this cat has been formed by using a fine black Art Pen to place many, many tiny dots on the gourd piece. The dots are put close together where more colour is needed to create the design. This technique is called Pointillism. It is a very effective way for creating shadow and details. The only added colour is the white dots giving shine to the eyes. I decided to frame the gourd piece to make it easier to display.
