Our Mission

The mission of the Artisans Centre Peterborough is to preserve heritage artisans’ skills and enhance the community of Peterborough and the Kawarthas' by providing education and skills training to the public, children to seniors.  

The Artisans Centre Peterborough is  an educational facility in which handcraft-oriented interest groups in the region can meet to teach skills and exchange artisans' ideas. The facility  provides space, instructors and access to specialized artisan equipment for the community to share and a gallery to display artisan work.  The public has a central location for information, skills learning, membership, instructors, registration, participation, resources, ideas exchange, creativity, and the viewing and purchasing of artisan work.
