Just got a new machine?…Want to start sewing some easy projects?…Need to do some mending?…This is the class for you!

In this introductory course we will walk through the basics of using a sewing machine, including needle types, stitches, tension, and essential sewing tips! Participants will produce a small project by the end of the class.

Requirements: Bring your own sewing machine and a spool of good quality white thread (Gutermann or equivalent). If you do not own a machine, please contact us to request use of one of ours.

All other materials will be provided in this class.

Class maximum is 4 students.

STUDENT NIGHT - Block Printing on Fabric (2 Oct 2026)

STUDENTS! Bring a friend and enjoy a FUN, CREATIVE night refreshing an old t-shirt or plain shirt with BLOCK PRINTING!

Play with different colours and design your own unique patterns, choosing from over 50 wooden blocks and special fabric inks.

REQUIREMENTS: Bring your own garment, PRE-WASHED so it can better absorb the ink. All other materials will be provided.

Class maximum is 10.

Cost: $15

Alcohol Inks on Tile - Autumn Halloween Theme (29 Oct 2026)

Create your own festive autumn designs on ceramic tile using vivid alcohol inks!

All skill levels are welcome! Participants can begin by mocking up thier designs using the inks on Yupo paper. Then, participants will transition to learning to manipulate and design with the inks on ceramic tiles, including use of an air blower for abstract motifs, masking techniques, and lots of time for experimentation!

Participants will leave the class with their Yupo paper samples, up to 3 decorated ceramic tiles of varied sizes, and a printed resource handout.

All materials will be provided.

Participants will be provided a kit with all the tools and materials needed to create a festive and fuzzy little critter, plus instruction from an expert felter!
