New pattern design "Wool and Wood Baskets" by Christina Pridie.

In this 3 hour class you will learn how to cut a T-shirt into yarn to make the small wool and wood basket. (The base is 6".)  Then you will learn how to do the crochet knot stitch to create the fibre part of the basket.  This is an easy beginner crochet project with the look of knitting.  A great combination of mediums mixed together to create a practical and functional basket to be used for all sorts of things such as: towels, soaps, toys, magazines, craft supplies, yarn, etc. The teacher will supply the pattern, prepared wooden base, 2 T-shirts, 2 crochet hooks, and a tapestry needle.  Students should bring a pair of sharp scissors.
